When I was a child, I always felt that I am surrounded with care and love from my family. My parents were teachers and were extremely passionate about education and continuous self-developement. I actually felt that I lived in a mini school of our own. Our home was the perfect destination for family members who wanted their children to stay away from distractions and concentrate on studies especially during the preparation for third secondary final exams. Growing up in such an environment made me not only understand the value of education but also appreciate the value of family ties and providing support to your loved ones. I learnt from my parents that determination and commitment are key to make dreams come true. I learnt from them that the first step to achieve anything is to have a strong will and a proper plan.
One of the things that I will never forget and was one of the things that inspired me when I was little is the pen my dad used to give me before every exam. He called it “the pen of success”. As a child I truly believed in the power of the pen that was given to me and I was so confident that I will succeed and make my dad proud. That kind of motivation and trust that was built in me. I have learnt from my mom (May her soul Rest In Peace ), that learning new skills, being creative and having the motivation to do your job have no age limit and should never stop even if you are approaching retirement.
All of the guidance, wisdom , care and trust that was given to me by family has shaped my personality. Today I have a passion for adding value to my community by sharing-knowledge and making a positive impact in people’s lives.
