I grew up as a curious kid with big questions towards human behavior. I used to always observe and question ‘why’. At the age of 11, I used to isolate myself from the surroundings and be the companion of novels, as well as notebooks which I used to collage various information from newspapers, magazines, and the radio, which helped me get a better view of the bigger picture and help me find answers to my questions. At some point, I dreamt of being a psychologist so that I can help those who are in need. Later that dream changed to becoming a lawyer who can be the voice of victims. I learned that I needed to make a clearer impact and the little-me wished to bring justice in a formal way.

Just after joining university, I decided to take another path and joined an architectural program which seemed like a new challenge for the person in me who loves challenges.
During university, the inner voice of little-me was always reminding me of my old dreams. During the journey, I was fascinated by how our backgrounds and thoughts shaped our future, in one way or another.
I never expected to discover that architecture requires a deep understanding of human behavior. I loved it for that! Aside from the creative work, the architectural practice is a consultancy role too. The architect is expected to understand and meet the client’s needs under specific ethical practice and to protect the client’s rights during the project and after. There again, my childhood dream was met!

I learned that we are born for a certain role, we call it a dream. It’s like a seed that grows into a plant and gets bigger within us over time. Don’t forget your dreams, you can make them happen!
