There is nothing as powerful as a mother’s love. No matter how much I express my love for my mom, I will always love her more than what mere words can compile.
Today I wanted to pick this badge for my mother because she was a very special woman.
Ours was and still is a large joint family living under the same roof. My father was the eldest of the family with 4 brothers and 1 sister. My mother was only 15 at the time of their marriage (it was common practise to marry very young at that time).
My mother, an outsider, was brought into a home full of people, a large family. She wasn’t overwhelmed, instead she was generous with her love and affection towards everyone. Today, after 28 years of her demise, my family still talks about her and how equality and selflessness were her great strengths. She found great joy in elevating others; every single person in the house was positively impacted by her presence. Thank you mom, for being the woman that every other girl in our family, generations later, still looks up to.
