That one year really touched me and it was also a good lesson in leadership as I turned the hospital around financially. Since then, I have been doing something for the hospital every year.

This strong foundation has helped me explore new horizons, face failure with aplomb and persevere during adverse times.

It has gained me respect and credibility at the workplace, as everything I do is based on informed decisions and complete understanding.

I learnt to just be in the moment and not pressurize myself to engage with people a lot.

It almost feels like time travelling without even knowing the people who read the book before you.

Not everyone may be doing good at that point and we might be making them feel worse as they cannot do anything about it.
